Biography of Hoyt Barber

Hoyt BarberHoyt Barber has been an international financial consultant for over thirty years, and is a widely recognized authority on tax havens, offshore banking and investments, offshore asset protection and estate planning.

With his newest release, Offshore Money, an international thriller, Barber has authored 12 published books since 1981. These include his latest offshore personal finance book, Freedom Without Borders (2011) published by ABC-CLIO, Santa Barbara, CA; and previous titles, Secrets of Swiss Banking (2008) and Tax Havens Today (2007), both published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., Hoboken, NJ, and Tax Havens (1992) published by McGraw-Hill, New York, NY, which enjoyed nine printings over more than ten years. His first international thriller, From Hell to Havana, was released in 2007, and he is presently working on the third novel in his offshore trilogy.

Barber is President of Barber Financial Advisors in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The company provides offshore financial services in tax haven jurisdictions for investors and expatriates from North America and elsewhere who seek asset protection, privacy and refuge from excessive bureaucracy.

Personal interests have included flying, boating, spear fishing, horses, travel, cooking and his three daughters.
